The first and successful joint Call Board meeting of the ERA-NETs SUSFOOD2 (Sustainable Food Production and Consumption) and CORE Organic Cofund (Coordination of European Transnational Research in Organic Food and Farming Systems) was held on 2-3 April 2019 in Brussels.

Following the 'Joint SUSFOOD2 – CORE Organic exploratory workshop' last June, the two networks have further strengthened their cooperation and received funding commitment from 18 countries/regions.

Research and Innovation is needed to enable the transition towards sustainable and organic food systems in the future. Thus, the two networks are joining forces in a transnational Call to be launched in September 2019, providing possibilities for new research partnerships relevant for both organic and sustainable food sectors.

More information about the joint (non-cofunded) Call is to follow after the participating funding agencies approve the Call documents.
